We do occasionally offer shared trips where you pay per person without having to reserve the whole boat. This is a more affordable option if you don't mind fishing with strangers. Shared charters will be on a first come first serve basis.

Yes, you will need a fishing license if you are embarking on one of our fishing charters. Your fishing license will need to correspond with the area fished. Your captain will advise you on what kind of license is needed for your charter during the booking process.
**Passengers 16 years or younger do not need a California fishing license if fishing in US waters
**A valid passport is required for all passengers embarking on one of our Coronados trips.

If you are embarking on one of our trips to the Coronados, yes, every passenger needs a valid passport.
The necessary conservation bracelets required for trips to the Coronados will be provided by Wild Goose at no additional charge.
Yes. A 20% deposit is required at time of booking (once your charter request has been confirmed by the captain).

To cancel or reschedule your trip, please call our office at 619.800.3346.
If you cancel prior to 72 hours before your trip, you will receive a full refund (including deposit). Deposit will be forfeited if cancelled within 72 hours of trip. Forced cancellations due to bad weather (made at the Captain's disgression) will receive a full refund or the option to transfer charter to a future date.
Pick ups and drop offs will be at H&M Landing(2803 Emerson St San Diego), which is next door to Point Loma Seafood and Intrepid Landing.
Captain Ray will reach out a day or two before your trip and provide all details of the trip. Please call us when you arrive at the dock and we can provide you detailed directions to the boat and help with your gear if need be.
All passengers should come prepared with fishing licenses (if applicable), valid U.S. passport (if applicable), warm clothes (layers) and sun protection. Please bring your own food and beverages in a soft-sided cooler (please no hard coolers as they are difficult to store and slide around the deck!). If embarking on a fishing charter, you are welcome to bring up to 4 personal rods per person as well as your own bait and tackle; however please note that these materials come provided by Wild Goose which is reflected in our pricing.
You are welcome to bring alcohol on the boat (if you are 21+), however we ask that you please avoid glass bottles.
Illegal drugs, hard coolers, glass bottles and bananas (no bad luck allowed!) are all prohibited.
Each charter is limited to 6 people.
The Wild Goose is a very kid-friendly fishing platform. There is no age or size requirement.
The Captain and crew of The Wild Goose are committed to catching fish and will go the extra mile to make it happen. However, catching fish is not guaranteed.
Yes! Passengers are allowed to keep the fish they catch. Filleting of your catch is included in the charter price and vacuum packing is available for an additional fee.
Although we love dogs, they are typically not allowed on the boat. Exceptions may be made for service dogs and for other special circumstances. Please inquire in advance.

While tipping is not mandatory, it is customary to tip the captain and crew 15-20% of the trip cost.
No fishing experience is required. We are happy to teach our passengers how to use our fishing gear and are excited to help you catch some fish!
If you damage the boat or damage/lose its equipment, you are responsible for repairing or replacing it. ie: If a rod falls out of your hand and is lost to the ocean it will need to be replaced.
